Your collection
outgrew your memory.

Free, local-first software that maps your shelves so you can find any record in seconds. No account required. No cloud dependency. No wifi needed.

The problem

You're doing archaeology
instead of playing music.

A thousand records is a wonderful problem to have, right up until you're mid-set and you can't find the one you want. The momentum breaks. You pull three that don't fit. The energy shifts.

rekordshelf is the extension of your memory. It runs on your device, works without wifi, and never asks you to sign up for anything. Your data stays yours — because part of the vinyl experience is being present, in the room, not in the cloud.

Chaotic scene of scattered vinyl records and tangled headphones

What it does

Shelf mapping

You don't remember a record by its catalogue number. You remember the Keinemusik sleeves. The Hot Creations artwork. The handstamp on a white label promo.

The track playing now has maybe two minutes left. You know exactly which record comes next — but where is it? Third shelf? Second row? rekordshelf just tells you: left Kallax, cubby B2. Grab it and go.

Instant recall

You know what comes next. You can hear the transition in your head. The problem isn't taste — it's finding it in the wall of vinyl before the outro runs out.

Search by artist, title, or label. See the shelf and cubby instantly. Walk straight to it, pull it, cue it up. No scanning spines. No pulling three wrong records.

Session tracking

Load a record onto a virtual deck and rekordshelf remembers it. Build a running history of what you played, when, and in what order.

Over time, your sessions become a map of your taste — patterns emerge, pairings solidify, and the app gets better at knowing what works for your style.

Shelf Mapping

Your room, mapped. See every shelf, cubby, and record at a glance. Cubby types color-coded for favorites, rotation, sell pile.

Collection

1,000+ records searchable by artist, title, or label. Every record shows its shelf location so you can walk straight to it.

Grid View

Plan your sets in advance. Drag to reorder, see keys and BPMs for harmonic mixing, track estimated duration.

Gig Bags

Pack records for a gig. Capacity bar, pull list grouped by shelf location, duration calculator.

Genre Filters

Each genre gets its own color. Tap a filter and matching cubbies light up on the minimap so you know exactly where to look.

Stats & Storage

Collection stats, shelf utilization with cubby-level fill indicators, and your data stays local — all on your device.

Table View

Spreadsheet-style view with sortable columns — plays, last played, key, BPM, location. Power users love this.

“We're not digitizing the vinyl experience. We're making the physical one more fluent.”

Vinyl is an active practice. Getting up, going to the shelf, pulling the record, putting it back. That physicality isn't a limitation — it's the point. Your tools should work where you are — in the basement, at the venue, on the plane — not tethered to someone else's server.
